Dr. Danielle Shaw joined Casa Pacifica as the staff psychiatrist in 2018 after traveling extensively abroad for medical mission trips and to lecture on mental health. Dr. Shaw graduated from UC Irvine College of Medicine in 1993 before completing her training in pediatrics in 1996. She practiced in Ventura County until 2013. Eventually her experiences with pediatric mental health services led her to Augusta, Georgia, to train in general and child and adolescent psychiatry.
In 2018 she presented her research on ADHD and sleep at the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professionals in Prague. Currently, Dr. Shaw is collaborating with pediatric peers to improve mental health access for children and is actively involved in local professional organizations. Dr. Shaw is grateful to be working at Casa Pacifica in a collaborative environment where she is continuing to grow professionally.
