Where are you located?
Our Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient Programs are located in Camarillo, California.
How long is your program?
Each program varies in length and is tailored to the individual youth.
What level of treatment is appropriate for my youth?
The level of care for your youth is dependent on how much support they need. This is determined during the pre-admission assessment with our Admissions team. Once your youth is admitted, our Clinical Program Manager and team of clinicians will continue to monitor your youth’s needs and will provide ongoing assessments to ensure they continue in the appropriate level of care.
My youth is attending School, how can you help?
Yes, we provide academic support to ensure youth keep up with their academics.
Do you have a program for family members and loved ones?
Yes, our family program is a major part of our treatment and each youth is assigned their own therapist. In addition to a formal program orientation, parents will be included in the creation of the treatment plan and participate in weekly family therapy sessions (in person or remotely). We additionally provide weekly parent support group, weekly parent skill building group, and Families Engaging Actively Together (twice per month).
Do you accept my insurance?
Yes. We are in-network with many major insurances and can work with most insurance plans. Please contact our Admissions team to discuss how we can support you in getting the best coverage possible.
Does Camino a Casa accept Medi-Cal or Medicaid coverage?
The Camino a Casa programs are not covered by Medi-Cal or Medicaid policies.
How do I know if my child is fit for the program?
All youth are different and all programs that provide treatment are different. As parents, we know there is no better way to determine the best program for your child than by meeting us and getting a feel for who we are and what we do. However, we specifically excel in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, self-injury, substance use, and LGBTQ+ supportive services to name a few of our most common cases. The Camino a Casa program is also proud to provide support for all youth and families regardless of where they fall on the gender/sexuality spectrum.
What is your admissions process?
You make the call and we will do the work. The process of enrolling in treatment begins with a phone call or website contact to our Admissions team. Admissions will gather all necessary and important information about your youth, including your insurance information. If our clinical team believes we can help you and your youth, we will move forward in scheduling the pre-admission assessment. From there, your benefit and/or payment options will be provided and our team will work towards getting insurance approval. We do our best to admit as soon as possible once insurance is approved.
